Formed in 1981, Fingernails is an Italian speed/thrash metal band known for their aggressive sound and uncompromising style. This 13-track compilation showcases their evolution from traditional heavy metal to the intense speed metal they became known for. Drawing inspiration from bands like VENOM, MOTORHEAD, BULLDOZER, and TANK, Fingernails quickly made a name for themselves in the Italian metal scene.

 

Led by guitarist and songwriter Maurizio "Angus" Bidoli, Fingernails established themselves through a series of demos in the mid-1980s, showcasing their raw energy and powerful sound. Their self-titled debut album, released on Cobra Records, solidified their reputation for delivering a potent mix of rock 'n' roll, thrash, and punk influences with a distinctive Italian flair.
